Obituary: Janice Anne Crosson

Janice Anne Crosson (Moffett), (1949-2013), born August 6, 1949, in Riverside, California, passed away in Reno, Nevada, on September 27, 2013.
After graduating from Ramona High School in Riverside in 1967, Jann received a certificate at the Los Angeles College of Medical and Dental Assistants in 1968. Shortly after, she relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area where she met her husband Mike. They moved to North Lake Tahoe in 1978, and were married a year later. In May of 1982 their daughter Kimberly was born, and in February of 1986 their son Mark was born.
Jann and Mike opened "The Book Bank" a recycled bookstore in Carnelian Bay, California, and operated it from 1985-1991. Jann worked at Pac Bell from 1979-1991, and worked for the North Tahoe Fire Protection District for a brief time in the 1990's before she started work at Truckee-Tahoe Medical Group.
In 2001, Jann relocated to Riverside, California, and worked at the Riverside Medical Clinic until she retired in 2012, when she and her daughter Kimberly relocated to Reno, Nevada. Jann enjoyed nature and a variety of activities before losing her brave two-year battle to cancer. Jann always maintained her poise and dignity with a smile on her face.
She loved gardening, raising her two children, beating anyone at Jeopardy, and her friends, and took joy in the smallest things in life. She had a heart of gold. Jann was surrounded by her family and friends in her own home when she peacefully passed.
Jann is survived by her children, Mark of Arcata, California and Kimberly of Reno, Nevada, and her spouse Mike of Tahoe Vista, California. She is also survived by her mother Betty Waite of Redlands, California, and her sister Carolyn Aquilina, brother-in-law John, and niece Nicole, of Riverside, California. She is preceded in death by her sister Carla Christine and father S. Neil ( Bud )Moffett.
The family plans to have a celebration of life which will be held on her birthday on August 6, 2014, in North Lake Tahoe, with specifics to be provided. Thank you for the life shaping memories; it was great knowing you sweet Jann.
