Ryan Summerlin August 15, 2013
Sverre Vandehei, husband and father of 5, entered into God’s presence on August 13, 2013 suddenly and far too early for those of us who love and adore him.
Sverre, owner of Vandehei Electric, was born on Feb. 5, 1960 in Ventura, California as the 2nd child to a family of 6 children. There he met the love of his life and perfect help-mate, Kimberly Moore, in 1986. The Vandehe’is moved to Truckee in 1988 and began Vandehei Electric in 1990 and have made innumerable friendships and business relationships with their loving kindness and knowledgeable expertise.
Sverre has touched so many lives with his business and his love of the outdoors. He was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, skier and motorsports enthusiast and enjoyed boating and camping with his family. Most of all he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was an active member of Tahoe Forest Church. He loved Truckee and volunteered with the Truckee Police Dept.
He is survived by his parents, Peter and Phyllis, brother’s Sven, Leif, Thor, and sister’s Heidi Lanning and Schatzi Sovich, along with many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers there is a memorial fund established at Bank of the West in the name of Sverre Vandehei Memorial to benefit his wife, Kim and children, Elijah, Ezekiel, Liesl, Brigitta and Katarina.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of this loving father and husband will be held at the Amphitheatre, Truckee Donner Regional Park, on Saturday at 11:00am in Truckee, CA.
