Outdoor performance of Les Miserables on tap for RWTB 2013

Tahoe Players Performing Arts Association and Toccata Symphony Orchestra will present a performance of Les Miserables during the 2013 Red, White and Tahoe Blue Fourth of July celebration in Incline Village.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of this growing event,” director Lily Baran said in a statement. “It’s a difficult score, but we have incredible talent and we’ve been working diligently.”
The performance will take place on the Village Green on Friday, July 5. James Rawie will conduct the orchestra and Joe Mckesson will act as musical director. The performance is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for Incline students with ID, and $35 for adults.
Tahoe Players Performing Arts Association is a community theatrical company that primarily focuses on children’s theater. The company utilizes actors, singers, dancers and musicians of all ages, from California and Nevada. Tahoe Players’ productions provide artists with an opportunity to display their talent and work alongside professionals.
Founded in 2005 by James and Nancy Roqie, Toccata Symphony Orchestra’s mission is to bring quality, affordable performances of orchestral and choral music to the greater Tahoe-Reno area. The organization strives to raise appreciation of concert music and provide a venue for musicians to display and develop their talents.
