Truckee is scheduled to play a league game at Sparks on Tuesday and end the season with a three-game league series at home against Dayton this Friday (2 p.m., 4 p.m.) and Saturday (11 a.m.).

The Truckee softball team dropped a three-game league series at Lowry last Thursday and Friday by scores of 11-0, 15-0 and 11-1.

Truckee collected four hits in the series opener Thursday, led by junior Anna Hudson’s 2-for-3 day at the plate. Katie Fisher and Stephanie Randall contributed a hit apiece, and Ellie Simpson and Danielle Jackson pitched for the Wolverines.

Lowry pitchers McKenna Jones and Macey Katzenmeyer combined for the shutout in the five-inning game.

Lowry’s Sylvie Prokasky threw a one-hitter through five innings and did not issue a walk in the opening game of Friday’s doubleheader.

Although senior Evelyn Pena had Truckee’s only hit, the Wolverines put the ball in play, finishing with just two strikeouts. Cheyenne Brown and Fisher pitched for Truckee, with Brown recording four strikeouts while allowing three runs on four hits.

The Wolverines broke through in the scoring column in an impressive way in the series finale — with a home run off the bat of Jackson. It was one of two Truckee hits in the game, with Daelyn Borden recording the other hit.

Simpson and Brown pitched for Truckee.

The Buckaroos improved to 17-4 in the Northern Division I-A as the Wolverines fell to 1-19.
