The Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe will host the second annual Balls in the Ruff Golf Tournament on Friday, Sept. 8, at Tahoe Donner Golf Course.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit homeless pets in and around the area.
The 18-hole round of golf will be played in a scramble format, and will feature contests throughout the event, including the Golf Ball Cannon Hole.
"Pet-themed contests throughout the course will make this the most fun you have playing golf this year," said Stephanie Nisler, executive director of the Humane Society.
Entry to the tournament costs $150 and includes a golf cart, box lunch, a golfer goody bag, and an awards dinner.
The tournament is presented by the Law Offices of Molsby & Bordner, LLP; along with a hole-in-one contest sponsored by Tanamera Construction that will give golfers a shot at winning $10,000 for a hole-in-one.
