Incline basketball | Boys win Northern DIII title; girls edged by Pershing County

The Incline boys basketball team will enter the Division III state championship as the North’s No. 1 seed after defeating Battle Mountain 88-64 for the regional title on Saturday.

Incline’s girls, meanwhile, lost 49-46 to Pershing County in their regional championship and will enter state as a No. 2 seed.

In the South, Agassi Prep defeated The Meadows 66-58 in the boys regional title game, while Lincoln County defeated Needles 48-32 in the girls regional championship.



Incline’s boys will open the state tournament with a semifinal against The Meadows at North Valleys High School in Reno on Friday at 8 p.m. Incline’s girls will open against Lincoln County on Friday at 3 p.m.

The state championship tournament then moves to Lawlor Events Center on the campus of University of Nevada for the state championships on Saturday. The girls state championship is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. The boys championship tips off at 4:15.
