North Tahoe baseball | Lakers awarded with All-League selections
Six North Tahoe baseball players were honored with selections to the Northern Division III All-League team while their coach, Brian Tidd, was named Coach of the Year.
League coaches determined the awards.
North Tahoe senior pitchers Wildon DesLauriers and Shane Christian were two of 11 players voted to the All-League first team, which also included three Incline players, two from Battle Mountain, and one apiece from Yerington, Pershing County, White Pine and Silver Stage.
Battle Mountain senior Daniel Itza and Yerington senior Tyler Jones shared Co-MVP honors.
Aside from DesLauriers and Christian, North Tahoe senior Alex Tyler and junior Mitchell Myers were voted to the All-League second team, and senior Alex Bourriague and junior Miles Johansen received honorable mention recognition.
In his first season coaching, Tidd, a former North Tahoe player who graduated in 2011, led the Lakers to a top seed in the Northern Division III regional championship tournament. The Lakers finished the year 13-6 overall and 12-4 against the Division III.
