Truckee boys’ tennis team wins again

The Truckee boys’ tennis team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 12-6 victory over Churchill County. Junior Zach Haas won both of his matches 6-0, while junior Elliot Rost picked up a pair of wins for the team. Luke Sorter also won a pair of singles matches for the team.
In doubles matches, juniors Zach Larson and Noah Warren won both of their matches. Jack Kieth and Lucas Kraatz also won a pair of matches for the Wolverines, as did doubles pair Patrick Hogan and Turner Drummond.
The Truckee girls also improved to 2-0 on the year with an 11-7 win at home over Churchill County.
Senior Rebecca Ziegler won both her matches, while sophomore Carly Berken, senior Kylie Greeno, and senior Cassiopeia Dalsey all picked up singles wins.
Courtney Engberg, Rachel Heath, Sarah Jane Shaffer, Lilah Abarno, Kira Collins, and Isabella Ferrera all picked up doubles wins.
North Tahoe’s tennis team was also in action with the boys falling 16-2 to Incline on Thursday, Aug. 31, and the girls also dropping their contest against Incline.
