Truckee football shines under the Friday night lights, blows out Wooster 39-7

TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Truckee varsity football team got the season started off on the right foot with a 39-7 drubbing Friday night of Wooster High School.

The Wolverines (1-0) were up 27-0 at halftime en route to the easy win at Surprise Stadium in Truckee.

Wooster (0-1) managed a touchdown against Truckee’s second string defense with 1:01 left in the game to record its only score.

Earlier in the day, the Truckee JV team steamrolled Wooster, 60-0.

Friday marked the second-ever night game at Surprise Stadium for Truckee High.
