The Truckee golf team recorded strong finishes in a pair of Division I-A tournaments hosted by Elko and Spring Creek on Thursday and Friday.
The Wolverines finished a season-best third out of nine teams at Elko's Ruby View Golf Course. They backed up the performance with a fourth-place finish at Spring Creek the following day.
Junior Cody Tilton led the way, starting by firing a 77 at Elko to finish in a tie for second place individually. Andrew Mendoza of Lowry was the tournament medalist with a 74, while Lowry's Ethan Gray tied with Tilton.
"It was a great performance by Cody," said Truckee coach Kevin Waters.
