KINGS BEACH, Calif. — Amid a rousing line up of SnowFest! events, the Kings Beach SnowFest! Parade on Saturday was attended by at least 1,000 spectators, featuring 34 entries. The parade award winners were:

• Best Tahoe Spirit - The Wrinkle

• Best Children’s Entry - Kings Beach Parent’s Co-Op

• Most Entertaining - California Highway Patrol

• Best New Entry - Tahoe Wave Football

• Best Overall Entry - Tahoe Expedition Academy

• Honorable Mention - Community House

• Honorable Mention - Boys & Girls of North Lake Tahoe

At the River Ranch Sunday, competitors created a fine array of entries for the annual Snow Sculpture contest, a lively affair on the sun-soaked Truckee River-side patio. A raffle to benefit Disabled Sports Far West closed the festivities, with many cool items, including two snowboards.
