TRUCKEE, Calif. — An impressive 40 hotels and resorts within The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC, have been named award winners in the 2016 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hotel Rankings.

Among the 40 hotels and resorts, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, is included in the “Gold Badge Winners” as one of the best hotels in the USA.

To qualify for this distinguished accolade, U.S. News & World Report identifies the best hotels using an unbiased methodology centered on three components: reputation among professional travel experts, guest reviews, and hotel class ratings.

The highly respected organization ranked more than 2,500 hotels across the USA, Caribbean, Mexico and Canada ‹ with the top 10 percent among the luxury segment analyzed and selected as winners.

“We are honored to have so many properties awarded among this elite group,” said Herve Humler, President and Chief Operations Officer for The Ritz-Carlton. “Our focus and commitment continues to be on service excellence and creating lasting memories for our guests and we are truly proud of our Ladies and Gentlemen for achieving these accolades.”
