TRUCKEE, Calif. — On Sunday, March 13, roughly 40 dogs of all shapes and sizes competed in the 12th annual I-Did-A-Run at Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area.

The I-Did-A-Run pitted dog against dog in a race against the clock, pulling sleds over a snow-covered course. Prizes were awarded to the speediest finishers among four weight divisions. The overall winner was a Husky named Nikolai from Dayton, Nev.

The event raised $1,671 for the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe. Visit to learn more.

The event also was one of the last events in the 35th annual SnowFest! winter carnival.
