Support Tahoe City’s July 4 fireworks
TAHOE CITY, Calif. — The Tahoe City Downtown Association is seeking donations to fund the annual Tahoe City Fourth of July Fireworks show. The Tahoe City fireworks are completely funded through sponsorships and donations from local merchants, community members and visitors; there is no public or government support.
“Our stunning fireworks display would not be possible without the support of local businesses, residents and visitors,” stated Steve Hoch, executive director of the Tahoe City Downtown Association.
Donations can be made on the TCDA website, http://www.visittahoecity.com, or by mail to Tahoe City Downtown Association, PO Box 6744, Tahoe City, CA 96145. For those interested in learning about sponsorship opportunities contact Hoch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tahoe Mountain Brewing is throwing a Fourth of July fundraiser and anniversary party in the Cobblestone parking lot on Sunday, June 2, 1-7 p.m.
The event will have live music and all-you-can-eat and drink for a $20 donation to the Fourth of July fireworks. All proceeds from the $20 donation will go to the TCDA.
A fundraiser for the fireworks will be held on June 12th aboard North Lake Tahoe’s paddle wheeler; Tahoe Gal. The event will include music, appetizers and a no-host bar. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the event, but tickets may sell out due to limited space. Details and tickets for the fundraiser are available on http://www.visittahoecity.com.
Commemorative T-shirts will also be sold on the Fourth of July at Commons Beach and various locations throughout Tahoe City. Design for the T-shirts was created by Connor Bondlow, a local designer, and selected by the community via social media.
In addition, the TCDA is recruiting volunteers to help with fundraising for the fireworks, the community barbecue and an array of other upcoming events. Volunteer registration forms can be completed on the TCDA website. “Volunteering has been a great way for me to meet new people and get connected in the community,” said Jaclyn Ream, TCDA volunteer.
Watching the striking bursts of color over Lake Tahoe is an Independence Day tradition for Tahoe City families and visitors from all over. Tahoe City needs the support of the community to keep this tradition alive and put on a spectacular fireworks show.
