Tahoe Food Hub hosting Farm Truck Thursday event

ALPINE MEADOWS, Calif. — Tahoe Food Hub is hosting “Farm Truck Thursday” on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. outside the nonprofit’s Farm Shop at 150 Alpine Meadows Road.

It marks the launch of the Tahoe Food Hub’s new membership program, “Hubster,” according to a news release from the Truckee-based nonprofit.

Farm Truck Thursday will feature a court of food trucks serving food sourced from the Tahoe Food Hub and its small, family farms within 150-mile radius.

Mountain Roots Food Truck, Starkey’s Wood-fired Pizza Truck and The Souper Wagon will be on site. Tahoe Food Hub’s neighbor, The Crest Café, will be rolling with their regular Thursday Night Sushi, complete with an outdoor sushi bar.

Event proceeds will benefit the Tahoe Food Hub.

Entrance is free; Hubster memberships, food and drinks are sold separately for this family friendly event.

The event is sponsored by Kelly Brothers Painting and Simple power with support from The Rice Team Mortgage Company.

Tahoe Food Hub is a nonprofit organization working to restore local food distribution by building a regional food system for North Lake Tahoe.
