Truckee Fourth of July parade entries cost $65, due June 28

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Plans are under way for another exciting Truckee Fourth of July parade.

This year, the parade begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, at Truckee High School at the west end of town, and progresses down Donner Pass Road into historic Truckee, ending at about noon.

According to the Truckee Chamber of Commerce, this year’s parade theme of “Live-Work-Play Truckee!” celebrates everyone in the community who “enjoys life in the mountains every day or when visiting.”

Parade entry fee is $65. Entry deadline is June 28th at 5 p.m. New this year,entries are being done online by visiting

Trophies will be given for Best of Show and for winners in five classifications: Commercial (representing a business), Youth Group (18 and younger), Classic Auto, Open (your group doesn’t fit into any other category), and Non-Profit.

The Parade is produced by the chamber, in partnership with the town of Truckee and Big Blue Adventure. Many businesses serve as sponsors.
