1. Truckee Carnival

Rides, games, food and more will be part of the fun-filled family carnival that continues this weekend at the Truckee River Regional Park in the Truckee Rodeo parking lot, serving as a fundraiser for Tahoe's Connection for Families.

2. Classical Tahoe finalé

Classical Tahoe — an 11-concert series designed to support Tahoe's cultural growth while bringing together an all-star assembly of musicians from the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra — wraps its fifth season this weekend with performances featuring guest conductor JoAnn Falletta and soprano extraordinaire Lisette Oropesa (Friday only).

3. Homewood Fine Arts and Crafts Festival

The Pacific Fine Arts Festival will take place on the West Shore this weekend. The free event brings together more than 40 artists displaying their wares against the beautiful backdrop of Homewood Mountain.

4. Junk Parlor at Moody's

6. 15th annual Brews, Jazz and Funk Fest

Enjoy an incredible lineup of brews and tunes this weekend at the 15th annual Brews, Jazz and Funk Fest at the Village at Squaw Valley. The music lineup includes headliners Marc Broussard, a southern rock-soul singer, and the Main Squeeze, a funk/soul outfit based in Chicago. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe.

7. Ta-Hoe Nalu Stand Up Paddle Festival
