TAHOE VISTA, Calif. — Jolie and Joey were among animals and humans to help break ground two weeks ago at Tahoe Unleashed Dog Park in Tahoe Vista.

Stakes and lines for the fencing were completed by Dog Day in the Park volunteers, and the North Tahoe Public Utility District has started working on clearing a 5-foot-wide area so fencing can be installed.

Dog Day in the Park and the NTPUD are targeting September as the park’s opening, said Dog Day spokeswoman Pam Berger.

Dog Day is looking for volunteers to help with the grounds clearing work. Contact Berger at Pam@TahoeUnleashed.com to learn more.
