May 10, 2016
TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Family Resource Center of Truckee will host First 5 Express on Monday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Family Resource Center of Truckee at 11695 Donner Pass Road.
First 5 Express is a bilingual children's activity center that travels across California as part of First 5 California.
The Express inspires families to understand the importance of a child's earliest years and the positive impact they can have on brain development through talking, reading and singing. Healthy snacks will be provided by First 5 Nevada County.
First 5 Express activities are designed especially for children ages 0 to 5 to help stimulate early brain development. For parents, the Express inspires new ideas for early learning and positive behaviors at home and beyond.
Grab a book and kid-friendly musical instrument for story and music time. Pick a color and draw your favorite picture at a coloring station. Spin the "Sing-Along" wheel and see how well your family can sing a nursery rhyme favorite.
Choose a favorite tune and karaoke to fun styles of music. Free giveaways include resources to help sustain healthy behavior and early learning development.
