November 4, 2015
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Recreation centers offer endless benefits to communities fortunate enough to have one. They serve as a safe and affordable place for people of all ages to exercise, play sports, swim and connect.
The Incline Village Recreation Center is a 37,000-square-foot public facility offering a wide variety of activities, programs and equipment for all ages and interests. Here's an overview and some tips about how to use the Incline Village Recreation Center:
Invest in your health and wellness by buying (and using) a membership. Memberships are offered for singles, couples, families, and corporate groups. Drop in for the day, or sign up for an annual membership. Temporary memberships for a week to six months are also available. Incline Village and Crystal Bay Parcel Owners get discounted rates but the Rec Center is open to the public.
"We invite everyone to check out our facility. We are happy to give a tour and discuss all that we have to offer," says Pandora Bahlman, Recreation Center Manager.
Drop the kids off at Kid Zone while you work out. Open to infants to 10-year-olds, 9 a.m. to noon (Mon-Sat) and 5-7 p.m. (Tuesdays). Children must have current shot records on file so bring a copy or fax to 775-832-1380.
Check out the 25 yard, 8-lane indoor swimming pool and dry sauna in the aquatics center. Learn or improve your swimming technique with group and private swim lessons offered weekdays and now on Sundays. For those who prefer warmer water, we increase the water temperature to 84-85 degrees on the weekends during the cooler months. The water returns to 82-83 degrees on weekdays.
