INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The Tahoe SAFE Alliance Board of Directors recently appointed Paul Bancroft to the position of Executive Director, following the retirement of Karen Carey this past November.

Bancroft has been with Tahoe SAFE Alliance since 2009, most recently as the Client Service and Prevention Program Director.

"Two years ago, the Board of Directors approved a succession plan, proposed by Carey, to ensure the successful transition of leadership. We appointed Paul due to his wealth of experience, education, leadership and vision in the fields of domestic and sexual violence," commented Melissa Green, President of Tahoe SAFE Alliance.

Bancroft was raised in Lake Tahoe and has deep roots and connection with his community. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for California Partnership to End Domestic Violence and is a council member for Nevada Council for the Prevention of Domestic Violence.

Bancroft currently resides in Kings Beach with his wife and two young children.

Additionally, Jessica Brown was promoted to Client Service and Prevention Program Director. A staff member at Tahoe SAFE Alliance since 2007, Brown has held several leadership positions including Children's Program Manager and Crisis Advocacy Manager & Volunteer Coordinator.
