“Warrior Weekend’ classes set for this weekend at Lake Tahoe

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The Incline Village Recreation Center is offering a Warrior Weekend-Yogic Martial Arts & Self-Defense Awareness workshop on Saturday, Jan. 23, and Sunday, Jan. 24.
The workshop, which has one- or two-day attendance options and pricing, will be instructed by Paul De Luca, a renowned third degree martial arts instructor and avid Yogi.
De Luca hails from San Diego and is a third degree black belt ("Sam Dan") in Soo Bahk Moo Duk Kwan, a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Combatives Graduate, and a Certified Martial Arts Instructor.
Instruction will begin with a warm Vinyasa to unlock your inner warrior. Then, Paul will impart highly valuable self–defense strategies, tactics and techniques to improve your awareness and safety.
The workshops will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Incline Village Recreation Center at 980 Incline Way.
Costs for each or both workshops vary depending on if you have a valid IVGID pass or a Recreation Center membership.

Family rates also are available, although children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Pre-registration is required, with a minimum of 6 participants needed for the class to take place. Stop by the rec center or call 775-832-1310 to register.
