STATELINE, Nev. — Stevie Wonder will bring his deep catalog of hits to the 2016 Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series at Harveys Outdoor Arena.

The legendary musician will play Friday, Sept. 2, according to an announcement from Harveys this week.

"The American singer, songwriter, musician and producer is one of the most celebrated and prominent figures in popular music, who at the age of 13, was the youngest recording artist to have achieved a No. 1 single with 'Fingertips, Part 2,' and subsequently the first to simultaneously reach No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100, R&B Singles and Album Charts," according to the announcement.

Tickets to the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27. Tickets are available at http://www.ticketmaster.com and http://www.apeconcerts.com. Prices range from $99.50 to $249.50 plus fees.

"To date, Stevie Wonder has amassed 49 Top Forty singles, 32 No. 1 singles and worldwide sales of over 100 million units," according to the announcement. "Stevie has won 25 Grammy Awards, the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award."

Wonder last performed at Lake Tahoe in August 2007.

"Upon being awarded the Library of Congress' Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, Stevie performed his commission, 'Sketches Of A Life,' which placed him in a very select group of eminent composers who have received library commissions, including Aaron Copeland, Leonard Bernstein and Paquito D'Rivera," according to the announcement.

"As a live performance tour de force, Stevie continues to astound audiences around the world. This summer, he headlined and performed at iconic sold-out music Festivals across Europe in nine countries including London's Calling, Roskilde in Denmark and the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland."

Wonder's addition sets up the 2016 Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series with a deep lineup of star-studded talent this year.
