1. Darcy & Lucas at River Ranch
Darcy & Lucas, a Lake Tahoe favorite, will perform back-to-back shows in Tahoe City this weekend. The husband and wife team play a variety of music, from dinnertime jazz to funky blues.

2. Strange Weather at Crystal Bay Casino
Influenced by the sounds of ’70s hard rock, Strange Weather, the newest rock band to hit the Lake Tahoe music scene, will play a raucous set Friday on the North Shore.

3. Phutureprimitive at CBC Crown Room
Bay Area DJ Phutureprimitive — who’s electronic music weaves lush melodies across intricate rhythms, groove-heavy beats and fuzzy bass lines — performs inside the Crystal Bay Casino Crown Room this weekend.

4. Dawn Oberg at Cottonwood
The San Francisco-based indie pianist Dawn Oberg — who NPR compared to Randy Newman — will perform a free show Friday at Cottonwood Restaurant & Bar in Truckee.

5. Adam Theis MOBtet feat. Joe Bagale at Moody’s
Adam Theis, a multi-instrumentalist bandleader/composer/producer based in San Francisco, will lead his jazz band for back-to-back free shows in downtown Truckee this weekend.

6. Dippin’ Sauce at Bar of America
A Northern California guitarist with a taste for the blues will lead his band into Truckee this weekend for a two-night stand at Bar of America. Dippin’ Sauce is fronted by Fair Oaks, Calif. singer and songwriter Matt Rainey.

7. “Awake: The Life of Yogananda” at For Goodness Sake
An unconventional biography about the Hindu Swami who brought yoga and meditation to the West in the 1920s will be shown Friday night at For Goodness Sake.

8. Cross-country skiing biathlon at Sugar Pine Point State Park
Enjoy a family-friendly cross-country skiing biathlon at Sugar Pine Point State Park on Saturday. Ski a trail similar to the biathlon route of the 1960 Winter Olympics, catch your breath, then shoot at a target with a safe laser rifle for accuracy and get timed results.

9. Skynnyn Lynnyrd at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe
Stripping the music of the legendary band Lynyrd Skynyrd down to its finest detail and reassembling it, tribute band Skynnyn Lynnyrd pursues every nuance and detail of the group that gave us “Free Bird” “Sweet Home Alabama” and many more timeless hits.

10. Jeremy Hotz at The Improv at Harveys
Canadian-born Jeremy Hotz — a stand-up comedian who’s appeared on Comedy Central Presents, the Late Show with David Letterman, and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno — will perform Friday-Sunday on the South Shore.
