1. Scenic weekend walk
This American Volkssport Association walk is sponsored by local nonprofit hiking club, Tahoe Trail Trekkers. All walkers must start between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and must finish by 4 p.m. — 10K and 6K walks available. Event day registration will be at Squaw Valley Chapel.

2. Music on the Beach
The annual summer outdoor concert series on the beach in Kings Beach continues Friday with a performance from the Boston-based band Rapplesauce.

5. Free music in Crystal Bay
The casino's Red Room offers a more intimate setting than the acoustically ambitious Crown Room. This weekend, enjoy free shows from Jerry Joseph & the Jackmormons on Friday, and Taarka on Saturday.

6. The Taste of Summer Wine Walk
Sample delicious wine varietals and savor light snacks in various boutique locations at Northstar California's Wine Walks, scheduled the final Saturday of each month. All participants must be at least 21 years of age and will need to present a valid photo I.D.

7. Yoga Squaw'd Wednesdays
Ideal for beginners and yogis alike, Yoga Squaw'd includes complimentary yoga classes with special guest appearances from well-known yoga instructors. Next week, Meg McCraken is featured; she will teach Hatha Flow yoga — with soul.

8. Tahoe Chamber Music Society finale
The Tahoe Chamber Music Society's last concert of the season features Kay Stern on violin and Joan Nagano on piano, playing a varied program including Schumann, Shostakovich, Vivaldi, Finzi and Bloch.

9. Artisans Market Place
As part of "a TOAST to Truckee's Creative Community," the Artisans Market Place will present an evening of Poetry and Prose of writers from Truckee, along with music by Duo Pomelo featuring flutist Elyse Weakley and cellist Anton Estaniel.

10. Bluesdays Tuesdays
The weekly music series featuring acclaimed blues musicians, delicious grab-and-go bites, and a Blues Bar serving beer, wine and spirits continues next week with Hammish Anderson. Bluesday guests receive discounted Aerial Tram and activity packages and food and drink specials.
