2011 Best Of North Tahoe & Truckee nominations end Friday

Nominate your favorite businesses, places and people in the region in the 2011 Best of North Tahoe and Truckee online competition brought to you by the Sierra Sun and North Lake Tahoe Bonanza.Find the contest here: http://www.sierrasun.com/bestof2011/.This year, we have 68 different categories, under the grouping of Best People, Best Food and Drink, Best Business and Best Places/Events.You can nominate any person, place or business in the Truckee/North Tahoe area, including Incline Village and the West Shore. There is no voting involved in this year’s contest – just a three-week window in which you get to enter a nominee for each of the 68 categories. We encourage honesty among our residents and readers – that means no multiple entries from the same IP addresses to get a leg up on the competition. We will closely monitor multiple votes coming in from one IP address – as well as instances of automated voting – and we reserve the right to disqualify any nominee if we feel there are abnormal submission patterns. You have until Friday, July 15, to make an entry. From there, we will tab up all the nominees, and those with the most submissions in each respective category will be named Best Of for 2011.Winners will be announced in a special section the week of Aug. 22 in the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza and Sierra Sun.Questions? E-mail Kevin MacMillan, managing editor of both newspapers, at kmacmillan@sierrasun.com, or call 775-831-4666.
