$225K in funding approved for Tahoe-area wildfire cameras

Sen. Dean Heller’s office announced this week that $226,000 in federal funding will be sent to Nevada for cameras to help detect and monitor wildfires near Lake Tahoe, according to an Associated Press report.

Funding for the AlertTahoe program will allow cameras to be upgraded and new cameras to be installed, comes following the Martin fire near Winnemucca.
