Sun news service
A weak cold front overnight has ushered in a little cooler air today holding high temperatures in the mid 40s around the lake under partly cloudy skies.
Look for winds to kick up again this afternoon around 15 to 25 mph from the southwest while exposed ridge tops see gusts around 50 mph.
Lows tonight are forecast to drop in the teens around the lake with clearing skies and light winds.
High pressure aloft will build into the area Friday and Saturday for mostly sunny skies, light winds and high temperatures in the upper 40s to mid 50s at lake level and upper 30s at the 8,000 foot resort level.
Enjoy this nice spring weather because computer forecast models are trending toward a more active storm track over the area as the jet stream shifts south from the Pacific northwest next week.
