It may not quite feel like the holiday season is upon us, but the folks involved with the Truckee Community Christmas effort are already gearing up to help several hundred less fortunate local families and individuals. One such program is Adopt-A-Senior ” a wonderful component of Truckee Community Christmas which gives locals the opportunity to reach out and help area seniors. Many are homebound and appreciate the extra assistance they receive from our caring community. Donors are directed to provide necessities according to wish lists that seniors complete. For more information, contact Patti Bena at 587-4550.
