Adopt a pet free June 1-2 in Tahoe
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Looking for the perfect best friend? Adopt a playful dog or a curious cat during Maddies Pet Adoption Days — for free!
America’s biggest free pet adoption event happens only on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2. As a community wide effort, Nevada Humane Society, SPCA of Northern Nevada, and Pet Network Humane Society hope to find loving homes for 250 animals. Every dog or cat will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. For every dog or cat that is adopted, Maddies Fund will make a generous donation to the adopting shelter to help save even more lives.
More than 200 shelters and rescue groups from eight communities across the nation will participate in the fourth annual Maddies Pet Adoption Days with a goal of finding loving homes for 5,000 homeless pets nation wide. The event will be held to increase awareness of homeless pets and honors the memory of the foundation’s namesake, a miniature Schnauzer named Maddie.
