Alleged Kings Beach drug dealer busted

Placer County Sheriff’s deputies confiscated cocaine and meth during a search of a Kings Beach residence Thursday and arrested an occupant, authorities said in a news release.

Deputies arrested Fernando Alfredo Jacome-Camarillo, 41, on suspicion of two felonies, possessing a controlled substance and possession with intent to sale.

An anonymous tip led to an arrest and the confiscation of several grams of cocaine and a half-ounce of methamphetamine recovered from the Trout Avenue residence, according to a release prepared by Sgt. Helen Thomson.

“We had information that he had been selling there for quite a while from anonymous tips, but our information came to us within a few days prior to his arrest,” said Deputy Dave Hunt.

Camarillo also faces charges of residing in the United States illegally. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is looking into his residency.

Sheriff’s investigators recovered an unspecified amount of cash from Camarillo’s residence.

Camarillo is currently being held at the Placer County Jail in Auburn on $250,000 bail.

Information indicating narcotics sales out of a residence on the 8600 block of Trout Avenue in Kings Beach gave detectives enough evidence to obtain a search warrant, according to the news release.
