Alpine Meadows open for weekend skiing on Friday
Lake Tahoe’s Alpine Meadows Ski Resort will open for skiing and snowboarding Friday, officials announced today.
“Due to consistently cold temperatures, Alpine’s snowmaking team has been able to make quality snow through the week, said Jim Kercher, Alpine Meadows COO and general manager. “Skiers and riders who have been patiently awaiting the mountain to open should have fun making some early-season turns this weekend,” he added.
The resort will offer beginner groomed trails via Meadow Chair and intermediate through advanced skiing and snowboarding via Kangaroo Double Chair. Kangaroo Run will offer groomed terrain, as well as a smattering of park features for jibbers.
