TAHOE, Calif. — On Sunday, Dec. 8 Dog Day in the Park and WARF were visited by Santa and his elves spreading holiday cheer to pets and their “children.”

Besides offering an inviting lap or gentle hand to his four-legged and two-legged admirers, Santa took along gifts that could be purchased and then donated to pets waiting for their “forever” homes.

Debbie Milani, owner of Stay in Lake Tahoe, provided a warm, cozy spot for Santa.

Kings Beach Safeway provided yummy Christmas cookies and Incline Starbucks donated steaming hot beverages.

The $405 raised at this event will benefit Dog Day in the Park’s building fund and WARF (Wyley Animal Rescue Foundation).
