‘Age Well, Drive Smart’
The California Highway Patrol, Truckee area, set to host a Age Well, Drive Smart Class at the CHP Truckee office. “With Californians living longer, healthier lives it is imperative that we, (the CHP) are helping the aging population keep their perishable tools sharp when it comes to driving a vehicle,” said Capt. Ryan Stonebraker, CHP Truckee Area Commander.
The goal of the program is to help California’s seniors maintain their driving independence while they can safely drive.
Seniors can tune up their driving skills, refresh their rules of the road knowledge, and learn about normal age-related physical and mental changes and how to adjust on Friday, Sept. 26, 6-8 p.m. at the CHP Truckee office, 10077 SR-89 South.
Register for the class by calling 530-582-7570 (space is limited).
