The Incline High School varsity air rifle team attended the Air Rifle State Championships on Feb. 7.

This year, the championships were held at the UNR rifle range, where members of the Incline team tested their strength, concentration and control of their body down to each breath.

The team consisted of four varsity members — Alexandra Resney, Elizabeth Resney, Cristian Gonzalez and Kaelan Pugh — and Incline placed third overall with a cumulative score of 942.1 points.

Individually, Alexandra Resney placed second overall, finishing fourth in the Prone and Kneeling positions, and first in the Standing position.

Elizabeth Resney placed fourth overall, taking fifth in Standing, and second in Kneeling. Pugh placed third in the Prone position.
