Sunday is Father’s Day. If you are looking for a fun activity, enjoy a great hike with a spectacular view, an appetizer and wine social plus participate in an artist workshop. The North Lake Tahoe Demonstration Garden, located on the Sierra Nevada College campus presents a container gardening class with Mimi Komito from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23. Learn how to plant a red, white and blue container garden. Bring a pot (16-inch maximum diameter), and soil and flowers will be provided. Additional classes are scheduled for July and August. The guest speaker at the Republican Women’s Club of Incline/Crystal Bay gourmet dinner at the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City is Robert Morin, a noted political analyst.
