The Lake Tahoe School Parent Association is hosting a free viewing and discussion of the movie “Screenagers” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Lake Tahoe School. The movie is 68 minutes and will be followed by a discussion lead by Ruth Glass, Head of School, of this widely acclaimed documentary about growing up in the digital age. A Republican Candidates’ Forum hosted by the Incline Village/Crystal Bay Republican Women’s Club is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on May 10, at the Chateau. The winner of the essay contest, “How to Empower Students to Become More Politically Active,” and the $2,000 Mary Ann Ingmanson Award, a college scholarship, will be announced at this forum. From 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, the I-School will host an Open House. The school is located at 889 Alder Ave. in Suite 105.
Tahoe Family Solutions will host the Hi-Hat Jazz Club on Wed, May 25, at The Chateau. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a champagne reception followed by dinner and dancing to live jazz music from Halsey & the Hi-Hats. Join Tahoe’s Connection for Families at the annual Tahoe Teddy Bear Picnic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at Aspen Grove.
