Hooray, this weekend should be perfect for Oktoberfest. Join Tahoe Family Solutions and other nonprofits at the annual festival on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Village Center. This is a community event with something for everyone. Lots of residents are enjoying October break and this weekend weather is promising to be absolutely great.

The AAUW will host Dr. Graham Kent, Director of the Nevada Seismological Laboratory at the University of Nevada Reno, at its 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, meeting at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center at 948 Incline Way. The public is invited. Advance reservations are required; RSVP to to Kelley Werner.

The annual Trail of Treats and Terror is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29. The is sponsored by IVGID Parks and Recreation, Sierra Nevada College, Lake Tahoe School, North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, Washoe County Sheriff, Washoe County Constables, American Red Cross, Simmaron Research. Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Lake Tahoe Summerfest, Rotary Foundation, Girls on the Run, Project MANA, Tahoe Youth and Family Services, Tahoe Prosperity Center, Tahoe Family Solutions, Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation, Tahoe SAFE alliance, Tahoe Institute For Natural Science, SOS Outreach and the Tahoe Fund. The trail travels from the DWR Center, to The IVGID Rec. Center, Lake Tahoe School and ends at Sierra Nevada College.

Save the date for the annual Bowl for Families on Saturday, Nov. 7. This event is a fundraiser for Tahoe Family Solutions. Put together a team and join the fun. Please call Nayeli at 775-298-0004 for more information.
