Letter to the Editor: It takes a village

Wow, another year of the Incline Star Follies has come and gone. A huge thank you goes to all of the administrators, teachers, students and community members who participated in this yearly event and gave many hours of their valuable time to make it the wonderful event it is and in the long run help our local schools.

Also a special thanks goes to Ron Stichter, our producer; Don Hertel, our director and his wonderful San Diego crew of Dave, Jamie and Rick; Karen Osborne, who puts all student numbers together; and Kathie Goldberg, our outstanding, tireless assistant director without whom we’d be lost!

In addition, we can’t forget the many volunteers who helped with publicity, ticket sales, costume needs, hair, makeup, photography, supervision, lighting and behind the scene duties the nights of performances. Thanks to all of you! Also thanks goes to all the sponsors who make the Incline Star Follies a reality.

Finally a big kudos goes to the following businesses who reached out with generous food donations to feed the Incline Star Follies cast and crew for four nights: Austin’s, Bar Bar Bar, Chuck Wagon of Tahoe, Lupita’s, DiMaggio’s, Raley’s, Rookies, Susie Scoops, Subway, T’s, Tomaato’s, Village Meats and Village Market. You are the best!

It really does take an entire village to raise our children. Again thank you to everyone who helps make Incline Star Follies a wonderful event. A big applause to you!
