Shop with spirit this holiday season at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church

Staff report

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Incline Village, in an effort to help those less fortunate this holiday season locally and worldwide, is launching Gift World 2015.

“Gift World is an imaginative way you can both do good and delight your loved ones,” said Rev. Clare C. Novak, pastor at St. Patrick’s. “In place of commercial gifts, we invite you to make monetary gifts in their honor to any or all of the 12 nonprofit organizations we’ve carefully identified as effective change agents.”

Visit TahoeEpiscopal.org to view the list of nonprofits, which incude groups that help a range of individuals, from veterans to young local musicians, in locations from Nevada to Navajoland to Nepal.

For each online donation (donations end Dec. 31), residents receive a greeting card describing the nonprofit and announcing that a gift “in your honor” has been made, with room for your personal message.

Two Sunday Gift World Market events will also take place on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13, from 9 to 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church at 341 Village Blvd..
