Sunshine letter: Another successful Truckee Optimist Brew Fest
July 26, 2015
The Truckee Optimist Club would like to thank the 850+ attendees of the Tenth Annual Truckee Optimist Brew Fest on June 13.
This popular "bring in the summer" event netted over $18,000 to go toward programs, grants, and scholarships for the youth of Truckee. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather, park setting, music by Lost Whiskey Engine and Coburn Station, lots of food, and the tasting of over 40 specialty brews.
Many thanks to the Breweries and Distributors who attended, including perennial attendees: Fifty-Fifty Brewing Company, Alibi Ale Works, The Brewing Lair, Sierra Nevada, Santa Clara Brewing, Great Basin Brewing Company, Lagunitas Brewing, Common Cider Company, Drakes Brewing, Stone Brewing, Knee Deep Brewing and others.
Also a sincere thank you to the generous sponsors of the event which included: Boehm Construction (major sponsor), Guild Mortgage (The Rice Team), Suddenlink, Community Ink, Celebrator Beer News, Tahoe Weekly, Moonshine Ink, KTKE 101.5 Truckee Tahoe Radio, Tahoe Donner Association, Jane Loomis, Bacon Collaborative Design, Nicholls Real Estate Group, Ron Wulff Residential Appraisal, A-1 Snow Removal, Dr. Barry Triestman, Chiropractor, and the Sierra Sun.
Plans are already underway for next year's Brew Fest on Saturday, June 12, 2016. The goal … more attendees, more guest breweries, and enough food, drink, and fun to generate over $20,000 in proceeds.
