Sunshine letter: Santa Fly In at Truckee airport a success
Courtesy photo |
It was a great day for flying on Dec. 12, and when Santa and his crew arrived at the Truckee Tahoe Airport, they were met with the cheers of joy from hundreds of children and their families.
Hangar 9 was alive with treats, crafts and special visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. All the children went home with storybooks and gift bags. This unique annual event could not take place without the support of many individuals and groups.
Huge thanks to Kevin Smith, Mike Barrett and the Airport Crew, Santa and Mrs. Claus, Rob Lober and the Flying Doctors, Fire and Police Escorts, Boys and Girls Club, Red Truck, Elves and Volunteers, Sue Cockrum, First 5 of Nevada and Placer Counties and Mountain Home Center.
