Sunshine letter: Squaw Valley Farm-to-Table success

We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to an amazing group of people and businesses for their help in making the recent fourth annual SVI Farm-to-Table Dinner an enjoyable success.

Many thanks to John and Nyna Weatherson of Trokay in Truckee; Dan McCabe and Matt Roda of Rocker at Squaw; Jack Connel of PlumpJack’s Squaw Valley Inn; and Tiffany Swan of Squaw/Alpine Kitchen.

Thanks also to the Poulsen Family, who opened the doors to their beautiful home and garden, which was a perfect setting for this event, and to Wayne Poulsen Jr. for sharing his delightful stories about the history of Squaw. The selections of wines from Nicholson Ranch winery and Alibi Ale Works complimented the dinner.

We also want to acknowledge Susie Sutphin of Tahoe Food Hub that worked to provide all the locally sourced organic ingredients, the MTN ROOTS food trucks of Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows. Special thanks go to the Resort at Squaw Creek and Event Masters who provided linens, dishware, glassware, tables, chairs and much more. 

More thanks to our amazing SVI staff and gracious volunteers for their time helping host and serve during the event especially; Mike Peters, Mike Salmon, Jackson Taylor, Gregory Brown, Tom Feiten, Kirsten Quinn, Ryan Wickes and to Keoki Flagg and Anne Carney for photography of the evening.
