Sunshine letter: Thanks for making a ‘Best’ Side Story

Summer is upon us and another spring musical is in the books. The Truckee High School Drama Club would like to thank all of those who supported our efforts to produce and perform “West Side Story” for you.

Whether you attended a show, bought raffle tickets or concessions, baked, or supplied us with raffle items, we simply could not do it without your help. A few businesses, organizations and individuals must be mentioned for their incredible and unwavering support.

To Trails and Vistas, Unique Boutique, Cabona’s, Starbucks, Kings Beach Dental, Safeway, Save Mart and other local businesses who fed us, or donated raffle items or props — thank you. You are the glue that holds a production like this together.

To Jeff Engerbretson, Rich Valentine and Christine Marsh — as always, you go above and beyond in giving of your time and energy. You are invaluable to us and we love you so much!

To Jennifer Boehm and Lori Ferguson — thank you for your delightful costumes and time. You really made us “feel” our characters.

To Cathy Riley — thank you for the incredible set backdrop that brought New York’s grittier areas to life for us all.

To Rich Boelk — set master, extraordinaire. Thank you, once again.

To our parents and guardians — for all you do for us, every day.

And to the local service organizations who continually support our efforts to bring live theater to our community — your generosity is boundless and so greatly appreciated.
