TRUCKEE, Calif. — Each year Truckee Boy Scout Troop 267 conducts a Toys for Tots shopping excursion. The boys are allotted $500 dollars to spend locally on toys that are then donated to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. The toys go to local families in the area.

Wednesday, Dec. 11 was the big shopping day, and the toys will be delivered for wrapping and distribution by Dec. 19. This event is a fantastic way for the boys to not only have fun shopping for toys, but to learn the true meaning of the holiday season by giving back to the community that has given them so much.
