Village Notes: What’s happening in Incline Village
Special to the Bonanza
This weekend will bring many families and friends to Tahoe to celebrate Easter. This year the annual family egg hunt can be held without hiding eggs in the snow. Maybe a beach picnic can be part of the weekend activities as well.

Earth Day is Tuesday, April 22. Lots of opportunities to celebrate around Tahoe the next couple of weekends. Do your part to support Earth Day by cleaning up in your own neighborhood and please dog owners help by cleaning up for your pets. Leaving the deposits in bags on someone else’s lawn is not cleaning up.
Incline Star Follies is next weekend. If you have not picked up tickets yet, run into Potlatch now as they are really selling fast. This annual event is one of Incline’s best and will be held at Incline High School Theater this year.
From 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, at the Holman Arts and Media Center located at 1008 Highway 28, participate in the Empty Bowls event. This annual event to fight international hunger benefits Project MANA, Meals on Wheels and the Deacon’s Food Closet. Choose a bowl created by local art students or instructors and keep the bowl after you enjoy a meal of soup and bread. Visit http://www.emptybowls.net for more information.
Tahoe Family Solutions will host its annual dinner at Big Water Grille at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13. For tickets or information visit http://www.tahoefamily.org or call 775-298-0004.
Remember to Save the Date to participate in a very special hike with your dog on June 7.
The hike will be hosted by Natural Paws and benefit the Pet Network Humane Society and the Canine Rehabilitation Center & Sanctuary. For more information visit http://www.naturalpawsreno.com or call 775-853-3533.
Birthday’s to celebrate this week: Doris Spain on April 19; and Al Jurkonis, Betts Markle and Ed Gurowitz on April 20. Happy Birthday.
The best deal and steal this week is the annual Egg Hunt at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, at Incline Beach. The egg hunt takes place at exactly 11 a.m. and if you miss the starting time, you miss the egg hunt. It is over in a matter of minutes. For information call 775-832-1310 or stop at the Rec. Center.
As always send in your birthdays, anniversaries, and news, along with the best deals or steals you can find, to email@example.com.
