Thank goodness the sunshine is back. This weekend looks like our beach will be packed as everyone from the desert will make a trip up to the lake. Claim your beach spots early! Let’s hope we do not have as many water rescues as we have had this past week, thank you to all of our water rescue teams.

Don’t forget the annual Fur Ball is Saturday. If you forgot to buy tickets, call 775-832-4404 and see if you can still attend.

The Women’s Club is hosting its annual fundraiser, The Fashion Show, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, in the Lakeside Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. The show, Fashions from A to Z, will feature fashions from Dillard’s. Also the auction item is spectacular! Two round trip tickets from Los Angeles to La Paz, Mexico, and lodging at the small boutique Hotel Guaycura. We should have more information about this auction item next week so check back.

The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation 2013 Community Table will be on Friday, Sept. 6, at the Shakespeare Ranch in Glenbrook. Visit for tickets. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold.
