Village Notes: What’s happening in Incline Village

Hooray for the rain and snow. It is so nice to see the white back on the mountains. Of course we can actually see again without smoke too. And now that it is October, bring out the pumpkins and plan your costume for Halloween.

Incline Schools begin fall break Monday, Oct. 6, and return to school on Monday, Oct. 13. Have a great fall break.

There is still time to help collect coats for Rhonda’s annual coat drive at Bar Bar Bar. Drop off your donations when you go pick up your mail and she will take care of the rest. If you have questions, just stop at Br Bar Bar and ask.



Looking to see some live music? Go to Rookie’s Sports Bar & Grill Thursday, Oct. 3, as it continues it’s Live Music Thursdays with Paul David & The Drivers taking the stage following the football game. Music starts at 9:30 p.m.

The Tahoe Community Thanksgiving Celebration in Kings Beach is on Thursday, Nov. 27, at the North Tahoe Event Center. Anyone interested in helping with the event can attend the meeting from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7. For information, call Meera Beser at 775-230-1066.



Project MANA is hosting its second Foodie Event on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center. Watch Chef Gerard Nebesky use giant paella pans, buckets of fresh seafood and farm fresh vegetables to create paella. Join the annual Tahoe Family Solutions Bowl-a-thon on Saturday, Oct. 25. The fundraiser for TFS features lots of local celebrities bowling and is a good time no matter what your skill level might be. For information call 775-298-0004.

The Creepers Ball at the Crystal Bay Casino is Friday, Oct. 31. Tickets are on sale now.
