Village Notes: What’s happening in Incline Village

It is the season for power outages. Prepare now for a long winter and stock up with flashlights and battery-powered items — please, though, be very careful with candles. As we move into the next season at Tahoe, it is always good to be ready with your vehicle too. Be sure you have all your chains, etc. in the vehicle as winter is just around the corner.

Celebrate Nevada’s 150th birthday with Mark Twain and Shiloh. This will be a musical sesquicentennial show at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Mark Twain Cultural Center and Toccata Guttman Music H. For reservations email mcavoylayne@gmail.com or call 775-833-1835.



Join the fun at the annual Tahoe Family Solutions Bowl-a-thon Saturday, Oct. 25, a fundraiser for TFS. Put together a bowling team for work, neighbors or friends and have a great time no matter what your skill level might be. For information call 775-298-0004.

The annual Trail of Treats and Terror is Thursday, Oct. 30. This annual community event includes the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center, the Incline Village Recreation Center, Lake Tahoe School and Sierra Nevada College. Volunteers are always needed to help at this event, please contact Allison at allisone@parasol.org or call 775-298-0186 to volunteer.



Don’t forget, the adult Halloween extravaganza, the annual Creepers Ball at the Crystal Bay Casino is Friday, Oct. 31. Tickets are on sale now.
