What are we waiting for? Now is the time for pray for snow parties. We have everyone ready to hit the slopes and just need something white to fall on.
Let's get out and do a village pray for snow event at the beach this weekend — the weather might just cooperate if we ask.
Girls on the Run – Sierras wants everyone ready for ski season. They have a Gold Ski Pass Raffle drawing at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31. To participate just purchase a raffle ticket as soon as possible and you could win this amazing pass or one of the other prizes. Oh my goodness, everyone is talking about the amazing Incline Village/Crystal Bay Veterans Club Military Ball and party that happened on Oct. 9 at The Chateau. And if you missed out you can attend the next one as they are already planning one for next year. A Save the Date will come later. Some of our local veterans can really make the moves on the dance floor too!
This Saturday, Oct. 25, is the annual Tahoe Family Solutions bowl-a-thon. I hear it will be a packed house so stop and cheer on your favorite team or make a donation to TFS. For information, call 775-298-0004.
Are you ready for the annual Trail of Treats and Terror from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30? This annual community event includes the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center, the Incline Village Recreation Center, Lake Tahoe School and Sierra Nevada College. Volunteers are always needed to help at this event, so please contact Allison at email@example.com or call 775-298-0186 to volunteer.

Thanksgiving is only a month away and Project MANA needs help feeding those in need in our community for Thanksgiving. For $50, Project MANA can provide a wonderful holiday meal for a family.
Last year almost 600 families received Thanksgiving meals from Project MANA. To help, as a volunteer, to drop off canned items or monetary donations visit wwwprojectmana.org or stop at their office located in the DWR Center.
Mark your calendars to attend the Tahoe Community Thanksgiving Celebration in Kings Beach on Thursday, Nov. 27, at the North Tahoe Event Center. Anyone interested in helping at the event or volunteering should call Meera Beser at 775-230-1066.
